Collective Investment Schemes (Internal Schemes) Regulations 1998

The Zimbabwe Minister of Finance promulgated these regulations to establish a comprehensive licensing and operational framework for internal collective investment schemes. The rules mandate specific registration procedures, define four registrable scheme classes, and require trustees and managers to satisfy fit-and-proper criteria alongside minimum share capital or qualifying financial guarantees. Furthermore, the regulations enforce standardized complaint handling mechanisms, public access to trust deeds, and strict monthly and annual reporting obligations to ensure ongoing scheme transparency.
