CA 21-12: Supervisory Expectations for Supervised Institutions Regarding Juneteenth Federal Holiday and Certain Provisions of Regulation Z

The Federal Reserve Board issued this letter to outline supervisory expectations for banking organizations with $10 billion or less in consolidated assets regarding the new Juneteenth federal holiday. The guidance clarifies that Saturday, June 19 is a non-business day for specific Regulation Z timing provisions, aligning with interpretive rules from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Consequently, the Federal Reserve will not cite violations or initiate enforcement actions for compliance issues arising from the implementation period of this new holiday.
