The Commodity Futures Trading Commission revises paragraph (b) of 17 CFR § 3.10 to define the duration of registration for futures commission merchants, retail foreign exchange dealers, introducing brokers, commodity trading advisors, commodity pool operators, swap dealers, major swap participants, and leverage transaction merchants. The revision specifies that registration remains effective until the effective date of any revocation or withdrawal, and prohibits registrants from engaging in regulated activities or representing themselves as registrants during any suspension period. Additionally, the text establishes that an introducing broker's registration ceases thirty days after the termination of a guarantee agreement with a futures commission merchant or retail foreign exchange dealer, unless specific procedures under § 1.10(j)(8) are followed.
