2002-12-26 | Circular 2/2002Added
The Bank of Mexico amends section CB.2.1 of Circular 115/2002 to expand the types of securities that brokerage houses may use in repo operations, specifically adding bank securities, bank certificates, and fiduciary certificates with bank guarantees. The amendment also restricts repo operations on securities with maturities or review periods exceeding 360 days to brokerage houses authorized to conduct future, option, or swap operations on interest rates. All other securities not explicitly listed remain ineligible for repo transactions.
