Circular Letter No. 3819 - Amends the Layout and Filling Instructions for Document 3040 - Credit Risk Data

CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 3,819, OF MAY 4, 2017

Amends the Layout and Filling Instructions for Document 3040 - Credit Risk Data, as provided for in Circular No. 3,567, of December 12, 2011, and Circular Letter No. 3,540, of February 23, 2012.

The Head of the Financial System Monitoring Department (Desig), in the exercise of the authority granted to him by Article 23, item I, letter “a”, of the Internal Regulations of the Central Bank of Brazil, annexed to Ordinance No. 84,287, of February 27, 2015, based on Article 77, item III, of the aforementioned Regulations, and in view of the provisions of Resolution No. 4,557, of February 23, 2017, and Circular No. 3,567, of December 12, 2011,

RESOLVES:

Article 1. The new versions of the Layout and Filling Instructions for Document 3040 - Credit Risk Data shall enter into force, as of the December 2017 data base, and are available on the Central Bank of Brazil’s internet page, at the electronic address http://www.bcb.gov.br/?DOC3040.

Article 2. The new versions include the following modifications made to the Layout of Document 3040:

I - in Annex 3 “Operation Modality” - inclusion, in domain 18, of subdomain 03, with the description “Debentures”;

II - in Annex 8 “Special Characteristic” - inclusion of domain 19, with the description “Problematic asset”;

III - in Annex 26 “Additional Information” - inclusion of domain 17, with the description “Restructuring”, and of its subdomain 01, with the description “Restructuring of financial instruments”.

Sole Paragraph. For institutions classified in Segments 2, 3, 4, and 5 (S2, S3, S4, and S5), as per Article 2 of Resolution No. 4,553, of January 30, 2017, the submission of information related to items II and III shall only be mandatory as of the May 2018 data base.

Article 3. The information referred to in items I to III of Article 2 may be submitted in advance as of the July 2017 data base.

Article 4. This Circular Letter enters into force on the date of its publication.
