The CSSF requires credit and financial institutions to apply revised guidelines on money laundering and terrorist financing risk factors as of 26 October 2021. These guidelines replace the original 2017 version and introduce updated sectoral guidance for crowdfunding platforms, currency exchange providers, corporate finance, payment initiation service providers, and account information service providers. Institutions must apply the changes to future business relationships and existing customers, ensuring that risk assessments and mitigation measures are adjusted commensurate with identified risks.
