CVM Instruction No. 210 of April 15, 1994 (Repealed)

Foreign institutional investors registered with the CVM must use their assigned operational code in all operations and within 30 days of receipt. Custodians must use this code to identify investor custody accounts. Administering institutions must submit individual registration requests for collective account participants using the specified model. Foreign-language documents require sworn translations and consular legalization, with authentication delivered to the CVM within 60 days of the registration request. Investors are prohibited from leasing, loaning, pledging, or guaranteeing portfolio securities, except for margin guarantees in futures, options, and forward markets, margin buy/sell operations, or cases authorized by the CVM. Non-compliance with translation deadlines incurs a daily fine of 69.20 UFIRs, and the CVM may suspend portfolio transactions. This instruction replaces Article 7 of CVM INSTRUCTION NO. 169.
