CVM INSTRUCTION NO. 242, OF JANUARY 26, 1996.

Provides for the provision of information by the administrators of Foreign Institutional Investor Portfolios, regulated in the form of Annex IV to CMN Resolution 1289/87.

The PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - CVM makes public that the Collegiate Body, in a session held on this date, and based on the provisions of Articles 12 and 24 of CMN Resolution No. 1832, of May 31, 1991,

RESOLVED:

Art. 1. The institutions administering Foreign Institutional Investor Portfolios, regulated by Annex IV to CMN Resolution No. 1289, of March 20, 1987, shall submit to the Securities and Exchange Commission, monthly, until the fifth business day after the end of the period to which they refer, the information provided for in the statements in Annexes "A" and "B" to this Instruction.

§1. In filling out the aforementioned statements, the codes specified in the tables contained in Annexes "C", "D", and "E" shall be used.

§2. In the event that it is necessary to include uncoded information, the Administrator must request the CVM to provide the specific code.

Art. 2. The General Superintendent is authorized to alter, include, or suppress the Annexes of this Instruction.

Art. 3. This Instruction enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
