Rule · CVM · 16 Oct 2014
Institutions bound by Article 2 must initiate or continue business relationships only after observing Articles 3 and 3-A measures. Registration requires a signed client declaration on the relationship’s nature. For investment fund shares, prior authorization is mandatory, confirming the client received regulations, understood risks and policy, and acknowledged potential negative net asset value liabilities. Foreign clients supervised by similar authorities may have measures adopted by their foreign institution if CVM access to data is assured.
