The European Systemic Risk Board mandates the regular provision of aggregated financial data by the European Central Bank and the European Supervisory Authorities to support macro-prudential oversight. The ECB is required to report monetary and financial statistics, while the EBA, EIOPA, and ESMA must transmit specific quarterly or annual datasets covering banking solvency, insurance business, and market instruments. These obligations include detailed technical specifications for data indicators, dispersion measures, and strict submission deadlines, such as quarterly reports within five working days of receipt from national authorities. The decision establishes the legal framework for both routine and ad hoc information collection, entering into force on 15 October 2011.
