EDGAR Filer Access and Account Management
The Securities and Exchange Commission adopted final rules requiring electronic filers to designate account administrators and obtain individual credentials via Login.gov to manage EDGAR accounts. These amendments, part of the EDGAR Next initiative, enhance system security and introduce optional APIs for machine-to-machine communication while mandating annual confirmation of authorized users. Filers must comply with the new Form ID and dashboard requirements by March 24, 2025, with full transition to the updated system required by September 15, 2025.
