Exemption From Derivatives Clearing Organization Registration
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission extends the comment period for its supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking regarding exemptions from Derivatives Clearing Organization registration by 60 days. This action allows additional time for stakeholders to analyze proposals permitting exempt DCOs to clear swaps for U.S. customers and for non-U.S. persons to accept margin funds without registering as futures commission merchants. The new deadline for submitting comments on this rulemaking is November 22, 2019.
