FDIC Office of Supervisory Appeals Is Operational
The FDIC Office of Supervisory Appeals is now fully operational, replacing the Supervision Appeals Review Committee as the final level of review for material supervisory determinations. The revised Guidelines for Appeals of Material Supervisory Determinations take effect today, establishing an independent office staffed by reviewing officials with direct supervisory and industry experience. Institutions may appeal material supervisory determinations after Division Director review, and appeal rights are expanded to permit appeals in certain cases where an enforcement action is proposed or pending.
