FINRA Announces Publication of Interpretations and Investor Education Materials Relating to New Intraday Margin Standards
FINRA is publishing updated interpretations of FINRA Rule 4210 to guide members in implementing new intraday margin standards that entirely replace former day trading margin requirements. The notice lists 20 new interpretations, 4 modified interpretations, and 19 deleted outdated interpretations, with an effective date of June 4, 2026. FINRA also released investor education materials regarding the new standards, which members are authorized to share with customers.
