IOEAMA UNSCR Ref SC16323 ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida 26 March 2026

The Securities Commission of The Bahamas directs licensees and registrants to comply with section 3A of the IOEAMA and relevant Anti-Terrorism provisions following the addition of Sami Jasim Muhammad Jaata Al-Jaburi to the UN Security Council’s ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List on 26 March 2026. Entities must submit Targeted Financial Sanctions Reporting Forms for any positive matches to the Financial Intelligence Unit and the Office of the Attorney General within 24 hours of this notice, while also sending confirmation of submission to the Commission. Failure to submit these required reports constitutes an offence punishable by a fine not exceeding $250,000.00, and non-compliance may result in disciplinary action including a minimum fine of $200.00 per day.
