Policy Rate Unchanged at 1.75 Percent
The Riksbank's Executive Board has decided to leave the policy rate unchanged at 1.75 percent, a decision that applies from August 26, 2026. While growth and inflation have been higher than forecast during the summer and risks from Middle East supply disruptions persist, the overall outlook remains largely unchanged. The Executive Board assesses that the probability of a rate hike later in the year remains, and the Riksbank will adapt monetary policy in a tighter direction should the unexpectedly high summer inflation prove to be a more persistent increase.
