Reciprocation of the Belgian systemic risk buffer

DNB imposes a 9% systemic risk buffer on IRB retail exposures to natural persons secured by residential immovable property in Belgium. This measure applies to branches of Dutch credit institutions in Belgium and to cross-border exposures of Dutch credit institutions to Belgium. The buffer becomes binding when relevant sectoral exposures exceed an institution-specific threshold of EUR 2 billion.
