Regulation Crowdfunding and Regulation A Relief and Assistance for Victims of Hurricane Florence
The Securities and Exchange Commission adopted interim final temporary rules to extend filing deadlines for issuers subject to Regulation Crowdfunding and Regulation A reporting obligations. This relief applies to companies directly or indirectly affected by Hurricane Florence that were unable to meet deadlines between September 14 and October 26, 2018, provided they file by October 29, 2018. Issuers availing themselves of this exemption must disclose their reliance on the rule and state the reasons for the delay in good faith within the filed reports.
