The Central Bank of Bolivia amends Article 9 of its Regulation on the Monetization, Distribution, and Destruction of Monetary Material to mandate specific banknote denominations in ATMs based on tray capacity. Financial institutions with two-tray ATMs must distribute ten or twenty Boliviano notes in one tray and fifty or one hundred Boliviano notes in the other. Institutions with three-tray ATMs must distribute ten and twenty Boliviano notes in two trays and fifty or one hundred Boliviano notes in the third, while those with four or more trays must ensure all denominations are available across all machines. This resolution enters into force on September 1, 2012.
