Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka Act No. 19 of 2021

The Parliament of Sri Lanka enacted this Act to establish the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka as the primary regulator for the country's securities markets. The legislation mandates the licensing and supervision of market institutions, intermediaries, and public offers while prohibiting market misconduct such as insider trading and manipulation. It further empowers the Commission to enforce compliance, protect investor assets, and administer compensation funds to maintain market integrity.
