Derivatives Clearing Organizations Recovery and Orderly Wind-Down Plans; Information for Resolution Planning

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission proposes amendments to regulations governing systemically important derivatives clearing organizations and other designated clearing entities to enhance risk management and financial stability. The rulemaking requires these organizations to maintain and submit comprehensive recovery and orderly wind-down plans, while also mandating that non-systemically important clearing organizations submit orderly wind-down plans. Additionally, the proposal updates definitions, codifies existing staff guidance, and requires the submission of specific information to support resolution planning efforts by authorities such as the FDIC.
