Form PF; Reporting Requirements for All Filers

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission propose amendments to Form PF to eliminate filing obligations for smaller advisers and streamline reporting requirements. The proposal raises the filing threshold for all filers from $150 million to $1 billion in private fund assets under management and increases the large hedge fund adviser reporting threshold from $1.5 billion to $10 billion. Additionally, the rulemaking eliminates specific reporting burdens such as volatility, turnover, and rehypothecation data while simplifying industry concentration and counterparty exposure disclosures.
