Form PF; Reporting Requirements for All Filers and Large Hedge Fund Advisers
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission adopted amendments to Form PF to enhance the Financial Stability Oversight Council's ability to monitor systemic risk and bolster investor protection. These joint final rules require all filers to report master-feeder and parallel fund structures separately, aggregate trading vehicles, and file on a calendar quarter basis while collecting additional identifying information about advisers and their private funds. The amendments also revise instructions for requesting temporary hardship exemptions and aim to improve data quality and comparability across the private fund industry.
