Extension of Compliance Dates for Standards for Covered Clearing Agencies for U.S. Treasury Securities and Application of the Broker-Dealer Customer Protection Rule With Respect to U.S. Treasury Securities

The Securities and Exchange Commission extends the compliance dates for the Trade Submission Requirement applicable to covered clearing agencies for U.S. Treasury securities by one year. The new deadlines require compliance by December 31, 2026, for eligible cash market transactions and June 30, 2027, for eligible repo transactions, replacing the previous dates of December 31, 2025, and June 30, 2026. This extension addresses industry concerns regarding operational readiness and the need for additional time to resolve critical implementation issues.
