The CFTC Divisions extend existing regulatory relief previously granted to European Union entities to United Kingdom entities upon the occurrence of a Soft Brexit or No Deal Brexit. This extension applies to relief set forth in Staff Letters 12-70, 13-45, 17-64, 17-66, and 17-67, treating UK entities, financial regulatory bodies, and laws in the same manner as their EU counterparts. The relief is subject to the conditions and expiration dates of the original letters and does not excuse compliance with other applicable Commodity Exchange Act or Commission regulation requirements. The Divisions retain the authority to modify, suspend, or terminate the relief based on future regulatory developments or changes in material facts.
