Confidential Treatment Rules

The Securities and Exchange Commission amends Rule 406 under the Securities Act of 1933 and Rule 24b-2 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to reduce the number of unredacted copies required for confidential treatment requests from three or more to one. Issuers applying for confidential treatment must now submit a single copy of the confidential portion, marked 'Confidential Treatment,' along with the application addressed to the Secretary of the Commission. These procedural changes apply to all filings under these rules and become effective on October 16, 1995.
