Confirmation Requirements for Transactions of Security Futures Products Effected in Futures Accounts

The Securities and Exchange Commission adopts amendments to Rule 10b-10 and a new Rule 11d2-1 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to clarify confirmation disclosures for security futures products effected in futures accounts. Notice BDs and Full FCMs/Full BDs must provide written notifications by the next business day disclosing the execution date, underlying security identity, number of contracts, price, and delivery month, while remuneration may be disclosed in the liquidating transaction confirmation. The new rule exempts these entities from the disclosure requirements of Exchange Act Section 11(d)(2) for such transactions. The effective date is October 15, 2002, with a compliance date of June 1, 2003.
