The Commodity Futures Trading Commission proposes amendments to its regulations governing access to swap data held by Swap Data Repositories to implement provisions of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act. The proposed rules modify the requirements for granting data access to domestic and foreign authorities by removing indemnification obligations and updating confidentiality agreement standards. These changes also address the rescission of a 2012 interpretative statement and make conforming adjustments to the Commission's Part 49 regulations.
