Extension of Filing Accommodation for Static Pool Information in Filings With Respect to Asset-Backed Securities

The Securities and Exchange Commission amends Rule 312 of Regulation S-T to extend its temporary filing accommodation for one year, applying to filings with respect to asset-backed securities filed on or before December 31, 2010. This amendment allows issuers to provide static pool information required by Item 1105 of Regulation AB on an Internet Web site rather than in an EDGAR filing, provided specific conditions regarding disclosure, access, and retention are met. The rule becomes effective on December 31, 2009, to prevent a gap in the accommodation that would otherwise expire on that date.
