Federal Reserve Board announces final rule that establishes data standards for certain information collections

The Federal Reserve Board, in coordination with other federal financial regulatory agencies, issued a final rule establishing data standards for identifiers of legal entities and other data elements in regulatory information collections. This rule implements the Financial Data Transparency Act of 2022 and aims to promote interoperability of financial regulatory data across agencies by standardizing data formats. The final rule reflects public feedback received on the August 2024 proposal and maintains general similarity to the initial draft.
