Financial Data Transparency Act Joint Data Standards

Nine federal financial regulatory agencies, led by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Department of the Treasury, propose establishing uniform data standards to ensure interoperability across their regulatory reporting systems. Required by the Financial Data Transparency Act of 2022, these joint standards will be formally adopted for specific information collections through subsequent agency rulemakings. The agencies invite public feedback on the proposed framework by October 21, 2024, to finalize rules that will standardize data formats and streamline cross-agency regulatory compliance.
