Incentive-Based Compensation Arrangements
The OCC, Board, FDIC, FHFA, NCUA, and SEC issued a joint notice of proposed rulemaking to revise their 2011 proposal and implement Section 956 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The proposed rule prohibits incentive-based payment arrangements that encourage inappropriate risks or lead to material financial loss for certain financial institutions. It also mandates that covered institutions disclose information regarding these compensation arrangements to their appropriate Federal regulator.
