The Securities Commission of The Bahamas directs licensees and registrants to ensure full compliance with updated United Nations Security Council sanctions against two individuals, Abd El Kader Mahmoud Mohamed El Sayed and Aris Sumarsono, effective 6 October 2025. Entities must report any positive matches to the Financial Intelligence Unit and the Office of the Attorney General within 24 hours of this notice and submit confirmation of compliance to the Commission. Failure to submit required reports constitutes an offence punishable by a fine not exceeding $250,000.00, with potential disciplinary action including a minimum fine of $200.00 per day for non-compliance.
