Regulation SBSR and Security-Based Swap Data Repository Rules; Extension
The Securities and Exchange Commission extends the expiration date of its 2019 Compliance Statement regarding security-based swap data repository and Regulation SBSR compliance until November 5, 2029. This extension provides additional time for the Commission to consider harmonizing its rules with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's swap reporting and data repository regulations. The action temporarily suspends enforcement of certain aspects of the SBS Reporting Rules to minimize burdens on market participants while regulatory alignment efforts continue.
