The Securities and Exchange Commission is reopening the comment periods for two separate proposed rulemakings affecting private fund advisers and alternative trading systems. The first proposal requires private fund advisers to provide enhanced transparency regarding costs, performance, and audits, while the second proposes amendments to the definition of 'exchange' and regulations governing ATSs trading U.S. Treasury and agency securities. Comments on both proposals must be received by June 13, 2022, to allow interested parties additional time to analyze the issues and prepare their submissions.
