Revisions to Business Conduct and Swap Documentation Requirements for Swap Dealers and Major Swap Participants
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission adopted a final rule amending business conduct and documentation requirements for swap dealers and major swap participants. The rule provides exceptions to compliance with external business conduct standards and swap trading relationship documentation requirements for swaps intended to be cleared contemporaneously or executed under qualifying prime broker arrangements. These amendments codify and supersede long-standing no-action positions issued by the Commission's Market Participants Division to streamline regulatory obligations for straight-through processing.
