Technical Amendments to Commission Rules and Forms
The Securities and Exchange Commission is adopting technical amendments to correct errors and update outdated references in rules under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, as well as in Form N-CEN. The amendments specifically revise Rule 498 to update the definition of exchange-traded funds and remove moot requirements regarding summary prospectuses, while correcting erroneous cross-references in Rules 0-11, 30e-2, and 35d-1. Additionally, the Commission is updating Form N-CEN to replace a rescinded rule citation with the current statutory authority governing insurance company sponsors.
