Technical Amendments to Rules of Practice and Rules of Organization; Conduct and Ethics; and Information and Requests
The Securities and Exchange Commission issued final rules to discontinue the publication of the SEC Docket, citing rising costs and low usage since its transition to electronic format. The Commission amended Title 17 of the Code of Federal Regulations to replace references to the SEC Docket with references to the SEC public website, where materials will continue to be posted in real time. These technical amendments update rules regarding organization, practice, and information requests to reflect the shift to digital dissemination without imposing new burdens on private parties.
