Position Limits for Derivatives and Aggregation of Positions
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has reopened the comment periods for its proposed rules on speculative position limits and the aggregation of positions for an additional 45 days. This action follows a December 9, 2014, meeting of the Commission’s Agricultural Advisory Committee, which addressed issues regarding deliverable supply and bona fide hedging exemptions. The new comment window closes on January 22, 2015, allowing stakeholders to respond to questions and materials related to agricultural commodities.
