Regulates the exchange of information between the Central Bank of Brazil and Financial Institutions (and others), in a secure manner via the Internet.
We communicate the availability of the PSTAW10 application, whose main function is to allow the exchange of information (magnetic files) between the Central Bank of Brazil and Financial Institutions (and others), in a standardized and secure manner, through data encryption, using the Internet.
To use PSTAW10, the operator must be accredited in Sisbacen and registered in transaction PSTA300, in order to ensure that only operators authorized by the institution itself can transmit files in its name.
The files will always be transmitted in compressed and encrypted mode, so that their reading is only possible at the facilities of the Central Bank in Brasilia.
PSTAW10 is intended solely for the transfer of files. The preparation of these is the responsibility of the Institutions and/or other specific applications distributed by the Central Bank.
This application aims to be the only vehicle for file exchange, in a secure manner, via the Internet. This first version covers documents No. 3010 (Risk Center) and No. 2010 (Consortium). Alternatively, and until 30.06.1999, the PDEVW10 application may be used for the transfer of document No. 3010.
New documents to be processed using PSTAW10 will be duly published through Sisbacen and the Central Bank's Internet page (www.bcb.gov.br).
Additional information is contained in Annex I.

ANNEX I
a. It is compatible with Windows 95, 98, and Windows NT 4.0 (Server or Workstation) environments.
b. If used in a Windows NT environment, the user who performs the installation must have the powers to alter the microcomputer's "registry".
c. For encryption, sending, or receiving, operator identification and the respective Sisbacen password will be required. Any inconsistency found in this information will make communication with the Central Bank impossible.
d. During encryption, a validation of the input file/document is also performed, checking the size of the records and other relevant data for the identification of the sent document.
e. The update of the documents table and/or the application can be done automatically when the operator requests a connection with the Central Bank.
f. To uninstall the application (remove from the microcomputer), the native method of the Windows environment must be used - the routine "My Computer-Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs". Before uninstallation, the "delete files/relations" process must be activated in the "options" menu of PSTAW10, to remove any files created after installation.
g. Instructions for using the application are in the Leiame.txt file, distributed with the application.
